Well, I finally took the plunge...

I went into my lfs today to price tank stands for a 55gal, and as I was passing by the bettas I looked to see what was there, as I always do. Stuck my nose up close to one of the bowls and the little fella inside flared at me, and that was all she wrote. I couldn't leave the shop without him.
I'll get a picture as soon as I'm able but he's a dark blue throughout the body with blue and red fins, and all the fins are edged in white. Gorgeous. Made me think of the colors of the American flag...

Umm it's a local place called Kraus' or some such. It's the closest place to my home that sells aquarium supplies and fish.

Ok, I take yucky pictures, but here's my newly adopted son. LOL The camera makes him look greenish, when in fact he is a darker blue than this...
His fins are a little ragged but he's feisty and he seems pretty happy. I know I am certainly happy to have him!
