Wished I had sand from the start but heyho what can you do when you are so excited on getting fish.

Was going to go to Argos and buy the play sand but went to work today and asked if I could have a couple of bags of silica sand they had lying about. Im also hoping that I managed to clear out most of the snails that were being a nuisance with the gravel I chucked out and any that are left the clown loaches will find it easier to get to with the substrate being sand.
The ornaments and rocks will be boiled and cleaned, I did clean the sand in running water and got most of the unwanted stuff. Filter will be clean a couple of times to make sure there is no blockages.
Tank is looking good its a bit clowdy but its slowly clearing. At the moment the fish are like whats going on as there is no cover in there at this moment in time. The corys are loving it and there nice to watch working along the sand.

Next thing to do I think is to get a powerhead as I heard the clown loaches like a bit of flow in the water, anyone recommend one of amazon for the size of my tank?

Thanks.
