The weirdest thing..

I have already changed the filter in my ten gallon tank and its already.. getting gross again... like there's stuff on the side, so I had to remove my betta... so he wouldn't get sick... HELP!

Stuff on the side... No doubt from the water. Me thinks it be hard water deposits.

I don't think it is harmful for the fish, since it hardens on the sides and does not flow back into the tank. My filters have been like that for ages, without any problems.

Simple solution: use tank water to clean up the gunk.

well I just changed his water, cuz there was old food pellets hidden in the gravel and he was starting to rest on the bottom and what not.. so I decided to clean his tank up so he can be happy and healthy still

Just run some tank water through the filtration media if it gets gunked up.

Sounds to me like you have a severe case of overfeeding.
