I noticed about a week ago that my gold angel had a cloudy spot in the middle of one of it's fins. It doesn't look to me like when another fish of mine had ich several months back. I know I have seen this in a book before, but no longer have that one from the library. Any help with the diagnosis and treatment of this is greatly appreciated. I always have 'Clout' on hand and I have no hesitations with buying a 5-10G quarantine tank if necessary as most my other fish cost about as much as a 10G tank.

I'm not sure what it is yet, but I've moved it to a 10G with some platy's and am treeting with Clout, as per the recommendations of the LFS owner. he said it sounded like a parasite or something, and to gently scrape off the cloudy crap, oherwise medicating may not work.

True, however I have no room for another 10G to quarantine right now. It's either my platy's which I used for cycling, or all my favourite (not to mention expensive) fish in my 30G. Given my options, it's the lesser of two evils. I was going to use a 5G, but there are none available in my town right now. Everyon's cleaned out, and I won't waste money on a 2.5G. Hopefully it will clear up with the clout. I know the platy's are very hardy. Time will tell... The Gold Angel is actually going to my LFS once recovered. It turns out I had 2 females together. I've already grabbed a very nice (not to mention huge) 4 yr old male angel that my LFS just got from a breeder who had to pack up and move. He gave all his breeding stock to the LFS. i'll try to get a pic once it settles in...
