Okay, the lady at the store has told me like three times what they are but I have a horrible thing with names and she doesn't have a tag on the tank so I don't know. Anyways, they are algae eaters, pencil thin and the biggest one I've seen so far is like six inches. They look really neat and she said they are peaceful, I just want to know more about them before I even consider getting one.

Were they Gyrinocheilus aymonieri?

If they are they are good when young and eat algae but as they age they become highly territorial and aggressive and give up eating algae. :)

there coldwater cats, in warm water there really agressive, they even take on my auratus and dont back down.
