Weird eye

My Silver Dollar's eye looks like its popping out! I looked on the net for diseases but found none. When I took him out of water, it looked the same as the other eye! Is this just an injury?

Try a search on 'pop-eye'.
Could be due to injury, or deteriorating water conditions. Any problems with excess waste?
Can also have bacterial causes, but it sounds as tho it's only just starting to bulge? In which case I think a good tank clean and keeping up on the water should help.

Popeye is caused by air in the back of the eye. Advanced symtoms include eyes turning foggy. It sounds like you caught it early. Listen to req2k2 and clean your water. Brought on by stress and/or poor water conditions. It could be because you just moved them. One of my books suggest meds containing Furazolidon. They suggest FURAM 2 or FURAZONE LIGHT.
