For years I have suffered from nightmares. It started when I was a child, mainly my mum & dad both worked day jobs and evening jobs leaving me in the care of my elder brother, who loved to wake me up and make me watch horror films!
My worst dream is about fish! I constantly have the same dream where I am trying to cross a stream or river by bridge. Usually its full of koi carp, beautiful huge carp all following me up and down the path to the bridge. Once I start to cross they all gather at that point and every time I slip and end up in the water with the carp. They swim all over me and the weight of them pushes me under and I wake up struggling to breath.
Now last night I had the same dream, lovely sunny day walking along a path looking into a crystal clear slow flowing river, when in the river is Chops my oscar, only he is about 4ft long
All I know is I have to cross this river, the first bridge I come to is just a concrete path across with no guard rails, so I walk on. I keep seeing this black shadow with glints of orange in the water, I know its Chops. I run as fast as I can to the next bridge, which is wooden. I dont feel safe crossing it so I go to the next bridge. This is an iron and concrete bridge with big guard rails. I start to cross and get to the middle and I look over the edge and see Chops swimming in circles below me. Now I cant move I am rooted to the spot waiting for him to jump out of the water, thankfully I woke up.
