Weird coloring on head

Does anyone know what's going on with my Denison barb? The top of his head is turning white. I thought it was a fungus but it is perfectly symmetrical on both sides and follows the lines of the top of his head. Is it just a weird coloration forming?
Not sure if you can get a good look except for the very end of the video.

That looks like a war wound to me maybe a burn from the heater
