Weekly Maintainance ?

ok so for all da newbs musho or ski tell us what needs to be done monthy and on a weekly basis ?

gravel clean ? motnhly or weekly ?
carbon and live rock in filter clean or not?
topup with salt water or normal water ?


what feeding ritiuls do you guys do ? twice a day once a day ?

i just feeded my clown in my 8 gal, he seems very happy he eats alot though gona get a few snail and another clown on sunday, gona move them to big tank in about a week and get 2 gobbies for my 8 gal and maybe a shrimp..

vacuum gravel when doing a water change.


shouldnt need to clean live rock or carbon in filter, may need to repalce carbon once in a while.


top up evaporation with pure ro since salt dosent evap.


feed twice a day small amounts.

you could baste your rock before a water change (take a turkey baster and squirt the rock which will make detritus water bourne and not trapped in the rock) I never clean my gravel/sand (i should but i really cant be bothered) since im so lazy i want to go bare bottom..... maybe when i upgrade i will.... Top off pure water, and feed depending on what fish you have. Herbivores like to graze all day long and clownfish like to eat one big meal a day. Different fish, different feeding.
