I was in town this weekend and of course had to stop at the LFS. I've been stopping in for the last month or two, waiting for Panda Corys to arrive so I could get another one. They FINALLY had one! Yay! I bought him and picked him up the next day (since I wasn't going home until the next day). He's so little - less than half the size of my other Panda Cory, no more than an inch long (he's hiding in the back of the tank now, so I can't compare him to my ruler very well). He's just so cute  Still a little shy  but he's adjusting okay. He swims around and, well, acts like a Cory! BTW, I don't know if it's acutally a "he", I'm just referring to it that way. I've taken a few pictures, but haven't uploaded them yet. I will, of course, be posting them once they're uploaded :) I call him "Baby Panda" :) I'm hoping that I have a male and a female, so that when they're older I can have fry :) I'd love to have Panda Cory fry!

They had a tank of little, tiny puffers at the lfs when I was there! They were so cute!!!! So tiny, too...not even an inch long. They followed my finger around the glass. <sigh> Made me want some :*) My mom came in to the lfs with me when I went to pick of the Panda Cory and the puffers were already gone. They went quickly! There were at least/about ten when I was there the day before.

I also asked the lfs about taking fry. The gal I talked to there said they don't do a lot of that and wouldn't be able to give me much for them, but if I called ahead they could set up the quarantine tank and would take them. Yay! I like all my fry, but just don't have room for 'em all. The oldest fry are an inch or a little longer now! They're so big!

The three fry that were born a few weeks ago are doing fine - growing well and surviving just fine in the community tank.

My Pleco is getting bigger, as expected. I don't think I'll be able to keep him much longer, unless I get a bigger tank for Christmas <crosses fingers>. The meteorology professor here on campus will take him from me though. He has bigger tanks.

All the Bettas are doing well, as are the adult Platys and the rest of the Corys. Spiderman is a fat, fat Betta. He gets one Betta pellet a day and swims a lot, but also joins the other fish for their meals. He was on the bottom of the tank munching an algae wafer the other day! Silly Betta!

That's the latest here... Oh, wait, I've started setting up a web page for my aquariums/fish. It's at http://www.geocities.com/pamelakris/aquaria.html It needs a lot of work, but at least it's started

That's all for now...I have one final left to finish, then I'm done for the semester. Yay!!!!!!!

congrats lizard. I have some dwarf puffers and I love em, they are so fun to watch. Hope all goes well with baby panda being a girl...lol

Congrats Lizard. Hope you get your pair. :)

Was you going to get the puffers if they were still there or were you just watching them?

I was just watching the puffers, but watching them made me want some. But alas, I have no tank for them...so I must continue to just watch :)
