Week Old Danio Fry have vanished

A batch of about 15 week old danio fry in my danio tank have vanished overnight. Other fry which are about three weeks old are still there.

Have the older fry eaten them or have the daphnia in my fry tank eaten them, or did they just die?

Do you have a filter in the tank if so look in there, if you can't find them and there are only older fry in there, I would say they probably have.

No I haven't a filter - only an airstone. I use Daphnia as a 'biological filter'. I kept a larger month old baby Danio Nigrofasciatus in the tank for a while after I moved some of the other fish and I think it must have scoffed the lot. The daphnia are ok though, but then they are bigger than week old danio fry!
