The family used to have one, grew to 6-7 inch in diameter, but he died when he swallowed too many sand n pebbles n got terrible ulcers from that. The vet couldn't save him

I like red ear sliders, we had two when I was younger. I got salmonella from them for few months But otherwise they were sweet. My parents just didn't want to keep those biohasards close to us children so they gave the turtles to a friend.
