Good morning! Happy Sunday all ☺
I purchased my second tank as my plan of action is to soften my water with RO water from my ‘local’ aquatic shop after cycling (fishless cycle, learned the hard way with a fish in cycle) and mix it with my tap water and move my corys (another newbie high street store mistake)

I digress, shops local to me are still at least 25 mile round trip. I’d like to add plants to my new aquarium and wasn’t ready to buy them yesterday with the new tank.

Where have you found best to order online please? Any specific websites that specialise or you’ve had brilliant results from? I’m based in the UK

Many thanks in advance

I’ve ordered plants from Tropica in the past, a fairly useful site as it includes plant care and tells you about plants being easy or hard to grow.

I am based in UK also FYI so not a problem in terms of posting etc

A little more expensive than other sites but I’ve never had any issues with them and also they post plants without any risks of snails or chemicals.

I use a seller on Ebay, k2aqua, as his plants are guaranteed shrimp safe and I have shrimps. The only problem is that several of us buy his plants and he's not got many left now.

If you ever intend having any inverts in the tank, make sure that any plants you buy are safe.
Plants imported from outside the EU must have been treated with a snail killer just in case there are any apple snails on the plants; and one member recently bought plants from a UK seller which has been imported from the far east and had been treated with insecticide.
Plants grown in the EU and in vitro plants are invert safe.

It’s odd you comment on that; I was watching a KG Tropicals video, it was about YouTuber’s mistakes. They had a trader who put fresh plants throughout her aquariums and lost hundreds of shrimp!

+1 for that. He does seem to be replenishing his stock.
Because I keep shrimp the other supplier I use is Pro shrimp. They do keep the Tropica and Dennerle in-vitro plants (at the same price as everyone else) but you know that any plants from them are shrimp safe.
