Weather Loach Issue

right i have had my weather loach for 2 years and they seem fine in my tropical tank but some guy at my LFS said that i am shortening their life span and killing them slowly is this true or does this guy not know what day it is ...i dont wanna have to give them up coz they are my babys please let me know if they are ok xxxx foles

Well their correct in a way.

All fish are cold blooded and the life life span is affected by temperature, the warmer it it the faster the do things include living, so eat more swim faster and die sooner.

Weather loach are a cold water fish and live better at low to mid teen's (oC)

shame well looks like al be taking them back i might get a couple of keyhole cichlids to replace them
