Hey Guys,

I posted this on another forum I visit, but willpost here as well.

One of my fish decided to jump out of the tank 2 nights ago.

Luckily I was there when he did it, but he had quite a fall, and smashed into a lot of things on the way down.

He flapped himself behind the TV and wrapped himself up in the wires, unfortunatly the wires are held together with a cable tie and he scraped off a load of skin under his head.

I put him back in the tank, and he has seemed fine, but I have just noticed a tiny hole just below his Gill, I assume this is where he hit a cable tie, it must have punctured him.

He is trying to eat, but for some reason he keeps spitting it all back out (as though its not what he expected), this is unusual as he usually eats as much as he can.

Other than that, he seems active and fine.

Will the small hole eventually heal? I have circled it in the photos.

The hole looks bigger in real life as it looks like some skin has been torn away and fallen back into place.

He must have hit the lid with some force as there are 2 0.5kg weights on the lid to stop it feom being knocked open, he also lost quite a few scales.

Have made a small video of him. this is how he usually acts when he wants feeding.

Feed more live food for a change and add a little bit of melafix to the tank to stop the hole getting infected.

Wow i've never seen any fish like that what is it? - looks more like a porpoise or small whale to me lol. Hope he/she gets better :)
