Aaaaw  How cute is that? How big was it? That is too cute. We have a few around here and they are tiny. We have a huge abandoned house next door and they live there. :D

It probably had a wing span of about 7" at a guess.Ours is an old house and we have a colony of them live in the loft so we do get them coming down on the odd occasion

Oh man, you're so lucky! I LOVE bats
They've been my favourite animal since 4th grade. When I move a month from now I'll be only a few minutes drive away from the world's largest urban bat colony, and you can bet I'll be driving down to watch them come out from under their bridge often :good:

I Love Bats,

Watched them Leaving there roosts @ my inlaws Farmhouse In India Every Evening.

A BAT!??? whats going on, do we get bats in England??

Pepper - there are 14 types of UK bat
Common pipistrelle
Soprano pipistrelle
Nathusius' pipistrelle
Brown long-eared
Grey long-eared
Daubenton's
Natterer's
Whiskered
Brandt's
Bechstein's
Barbastelle
Noctule
Leisler's
Serotine
Greater horseshoe
Lesser horseshoe
Greater mouse-eared

Uk's most common bat is the common pipistrelle - they are very small bats. this was the sort that fell down my chimney when I was about 18 - it was an amazing experience, when I got it into the box you could hear it beeping very interesting little creatures - with an obvious penchant for chimneys :D

fantastic you got a pic of it grahamsokel.
