We got a surprise!

Geez, thought I was getting pretty good at determining when my fish were gonna drop, but our molly was several days ahead of schedule. Last brood, she got so round before dropping, this time I kept thinking, she has at least a week to go! Managed to round up 6 babies and get them in the breeder. They are so sweet!

Congrats on the surprise arrivals.

I'm waiting for my Platy to give birth, she is so fat and round i bought her on sun as i'm not having much luck in breeding platies, so fingers crossed.

Also bought another male so i have 2 males now. i named my two new platies Superman and Louis

In my experience when their undersides begin to look like a ship - almost sqaured off is the time for action!!

Even then it's possible to miss and then it's time to practise you net technique!!

Thanks for the well wishes, they are 3 days old now. I cheated and used my tank siphon to hoover 'em up into a bucket...much easier to net without all the rocks and plants
