WCMM: 1.5 inches
S. Cory: 2 inches
Sparkling gourami: 1.5 inches

WCMM: 7.5 inches
Cory: 4 inches
S Gouramis: 1.5

That makes 13 inches. which should be ok if you do 25% water change weekly and build up the fish slowly:

Get the WCMM's first, when their level is ok, get the cories, and then get the sparkling gourami's next.

Good luck, btw, this is from researching the fish

cheers, il buy dwarf corys instead so wot add up the inches as much!!! thanks qays!

That rule so doesnt work and has been proved rubbush jsut to let you know :) . But still the stocking looks ok you may want 6 WCMM instead make them a bit happier.

so u think:

6 WCM,
2 Schwartzs corys,
1 Sparkling gourami,
wud be ok in my 10 gallon?? yh that rule is rubbish cuz if a 10 gallon can hold 10 inches, its not as if ur gonna keep a 10 inch goldfish in it!!!!!!!!!!! :S

im talking about 10 UK gallons, and that rule only works on small fish such as neons; so wud 6 WCMM's b ok or shud i stick to 5? :/

5-6 Would be great. Neons grow about the same size as wcmm's

The rule can work in some cases but yeah, i agree, it sucks.

i know im beccoming anoying but one last thing, wud this stocking be ok in a via-aqua 380 (10gallons)

DIMENSION: height= 15" depth=9.75" length= 15"

stocking:

6 WCMM's,
1 Sparkling gourami,
2 scwartz's corys??

THANKS

You do know that WCMM's like coldwater or subtropical water, some corys like like low water temps (not sure which ones though) and I am not sure about the Gourami, I am GUESSING that they like warmer temps.

I dont think neons would be a good choice, they are not very hardy

I dont like the 1 inch 1 gallon rule either, my friend has a 29 gallon that is overstocked, but he keeps saying that all his fish add up to 28 inches! Do you think this is overstocked?:

1 Angelfish
1 Betta (female)
1 Pardise fish (female)
6 or 7 Neon Tetras
2 Black Neons
3 or 4 Zebra Danios
2 Sepae Tetras
3 Glass Catfish

Maybe it is not, but the way the tank looks, it looks overstocked

Tetraman-when you ask questions like these, it might help if you said "10 gallons (UK)" as a lot of people here use US gallons. :D Good Luck!

The one inch of fish per one gallon rule is a just guideline and really hasnt been proved useful. You can overstock your tanks a bit, provided you have good filtration and keep up with the frequent water changes.

If Im correct, 10 UK gallons is 12 US gallons. 6 WCMM's, 1 Sparkling gourami, 2 scwartz's corys wont be too much of a bio load for a 12 galloner so I say go for it. But one problem, cory's like to be kept in groups of at least 6. 6 clouds, 1 sparkler, and 6 cory's is too much of a strecth for a 12 gallon tank. To replace the cory's. you could try pygmy cory's which only grow to about and inch and a half.

thats the problem, my lfs's dont sell dwarfs!
i definetly want to keep WCMM's, they can handle temperatures up to 27 degrees, so if i kept it to 23/24 they wud b fine, and corys need it 23/24 so theyll be ok, and the sparkling gouami can be kept in temperatures down to 21 degrees so theyll b ok! but i dont think my lfs's sell sparkling gouramis (any other ideas in place of it?) then i cud have:

- 6 WCMM's
- 2/3 Scwartzs corys,
- 1 of something

temperature = 24 degrees
filteration: i want to get an EHEIM AQUABALL!
