Way to quiet an apir pump filter?

Is there any way to quiet the vibrations of an air pump filter? I have one in a 5 gal, and it's not too loud, but it is kind of annoying.

Put a small peice of felt under it.

Just make sure its not plugging the filter, presuming the filter is on the bottom.

Actually the air pump is pretty quiet. But the actual filter itself is vibrating in the tank. Perhaps I hooked it up wrong? Doubt it

It is very similar to this one, but not quite the same - the water enters from the sides.

Try sticking an elastic band around it.

I've quieted noisy, rattly hob filters by putting a rolled up piece of masking tape where they contact the tank. It keeps the vibrations from being transfered to the tank.
