Hi I have loads of question one of them is do water changes stress the fish. I like to do them little and often, about 10% twice a week. I treat water with Stress-coat and make sure temp is same. The Ph of tap water is same as tank and the fish seem to love new water pouring in. When I test water Nitrite and Ammonia are fine but Nitrate is always at least 25 on my chart. My tapwater has 10 on my chart before i even put it into the tank. So hopefully I am not stressing the fish by keeping water fresh.

Try and cut the changes down to once every two weeks or even monthly.
Some species like Discus need regular water changes but most community fish dont.
Unless you've got a lot of algae I wouldn't worry about the Nitrate. If you have real plants they will help take out some of it :)
