Can we use water that has been boiled instead of r/o. I already have an r/o machine.. Just a general question.. thx

Boiling water would not have the same effect as an RO unit. Like you may already know.

Some bacteria might be removed, but trace elements and impurities would'nt (from my knowledge). Best to stick to RO as its a purer (sp?) form of water.

Plus, boiling water would take a considerable amount of effort. I know i wouldnt want to waste all that gas either. RO 'wastes' water, but the by product can be used on gardens or in your washing machine.

and boiled water will collect metals from the ketal or pan when it is boiling, dont want excess metals in your tank.
