water treatments

is there any treatments i can buy to stop my water turning yellow? i have done a water change but it hasnt stopped it

If your water is turning yellow then I would think it is sulfa in the water or something you are feeding one???

did you added a piece of driftwood recently??? that could be the cause

When I had wood in a small tank I had the water used to go yellow, that seems to be a common cause of yellow water in tanks.

i added a piece but it had been soaked for about 3 days, thought after 24hours it stops turning water yellow?

i think u need to soak it for at least 2 weeks, thats what i was told

A week or so will be enough to keep it from changing the waters color. I didnt know that you had put anything in the tank.

Try adding carbon to your filter and lost of water changes. It should start to fade eventually.

Oddly I have only ever washed bogwood with boiling water followed by rinse in hot water and that's it. It's never changed the water yellow. But I have always gotten it from a fish store so....
It probably was the wood. But it is harmless. Just doesn't look as clear. I suspect the fish aren't at all bothered.
