hi everyone..im geting my friend a tank for her birthday(iv asked the olds they said yes)

but since dont have heeps of money at them moment i was wondering what test kits are the mostimportant to start out with?(only things left iv got to get)

im going to get the rest for her in about 3 weeks but want to know witch ones i should get her now?

i just want to make sure she does not have any newbie problems...tank is allready cycled but i used my tests for that so getting her a set is important to me.

you can now get the dip stick type kits that test everything.

Or Individually id get ammonia and nitrite

The three most important are Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate..

I would recommend looking into the Aquarium Pharmacuticals Freshwater Master Test Kit. It will provide all the basics and runs about $25.00 USD.

sadly im im in newzealand and i master test kit costs about $100 and up and i just dont have that kinda money,,
i think i will get the 3 most importent ones

have you asked your lfs, mine will test water for free providing people don't abuse it but another one charges £2.50 to test for amonia nitrite and nitrate so they vary, but it's worth asking
