Water Temp

i've read that you can keep coldwater fish in temps up to 21c/70f is this true
if so can i put them in my tropical tank or do i need to start from fresh ie new tank set-up

I have kept goldfish in tropical tanks up to 26*C for years and they are fine, They grow A LOT faster in warmer water tho, So keep that in mind if you have a small tank. I don't know about other coldwater fish.
