Hello the water in my fish tank turned brown for some reason, it was crystal clear yesterday and I put in a drift wood into the tank to make it look nicer and I'm now really freaked out. What should I do???

Hi there. The brown is just an acid called tannin thats leaching out of your wood. It's perfectly natural and some fish, like neon tetras prefer water that's stained like that (that's why they're so brightly coloured; it's so they can see each other through the 'blackwaters' of the Amazon :))
It may lower your pH very slightly, but it's completely harmless.

If you really hate it and want your clear water back, you just need to put some activated carbon or charcoal in your filter and that will absorb it for you :good:

Driftwood will do that, it's one of the tricks for getting certain species to breed.
