Hi guys, just a little worried about the water coming back thro the co2 tube / bubble counter in my co2 setup. I've only had it setup 2 days so still learning!

I have a solenoid on my regulater so it's on a timer switching on and off.

When it goes off it slowly looses pressure and that is syphoning the water out the tank through the co2 tubes.

I have co2 > regulator > check valve > bubble counter > diffuser

I had water come all the way from the diffuser back through to near the bubble counter, but then the water in the bubble counter was all in the check valve ?? Is this normal ??

I changed it now to: co2 > regulator > check valve > bubble counter > check valve > diffuser ... hope this will work better?

And ideas/tips? I thought the pressure would hold in the regulator/tube to stop the water coming back thro when it's turned off, but obviously not

Yes, you need a check valve between the diffuser and anything else ideally.

Some will be from pressure loss, some from the simple fact that CO2 dissolves in water, resulting in the water in the diffuser climbing the tube as the CO2 continues to dissolve into the tank.
