i have 3 bettas.one is in a quite large tank with heater, live plants the works!happy as larry made a bubble nest almost immediately.the other two are in smaller tanks with a fake plant each but no heater.when i change water i fill half there tanks with water from the main and the other half with conditioned room temp water.the problem is their tank water is getting too cold.its definetly not anywhere near 70 F.small heaters are hard to get.any ideas?

or a heating pad with a therm. to measure temps. I had one unheated glass bowl I placed on top of a large cabinet where he could catch the hot air as it rose (from my mouth)

Try the reptile heat pads, got mine from Ebay and they provide a nice minimum temp and will heat multiple tanks depending on the size you buy. You just place the tank ontop of it and they are also moisture proof.

So only one heater for many small tanks.

yeah the reptile pads is what i was thinking.i have one tank too small for a heater and yesterday his tank was down around 16d c.im putting him on near the window for now.and no im not in the uk im aussie. B)

Would the reptile heating pads be okay with the plastic critter keepers?

mine are in plastic critter keepers, and I use those little heating pads in the water. They just keep it slightly warm.
