Water From Established Tank

hi, i dont know of anyone local who can spare me any filter media but i am able to get some water from a established tank. is this worth doing to speed up my new system. if so how much will i need. mine is a 210 litre system.

Nope, sadly not. Even if you took all the water from an established tank, it wouldn't do anything measurable.
