Water filter

Hi All
I have a 35 gal (uk) tank. It is approx 3.5 ft long. Im currently running a Fluval 4+ filter which can filter at a rate of 1000l / hr. Im running the filter just above half power but seem to have a lot of current in my tank. Although it doesnt seem to bother the fish too much, im worried they might be being 'pushed' around by the water current

Hi. My uncle also had that problem but tiring his fihes out. He made a "calm pool" by arranging rocks and pebbles where the fishes can rest rest themselves. Not sure how to slow down the current without affecting the filter motor tho.

3lfangor, I'm curious to how your uncle has arranged his tank....got any pics?

aim the output of the filter at the back or side of the tank this will dissipate the flow over a greater area
