Water de-chlorinator

Hi.
Right then,ive finished digging the pond,have bought a filter,pump,sand,and liner.
Im going to begin filling it tomorrow,but was wondering if you have to use a water de-chlorinator as you fill (the same as a tropical tank)

You don't really have to as the pond will presumable be left to settle and cycle for several days which means the process will happen naturally. De-clorinator is only used to speed up the process.
