also when i have fish in tank and stuff how can i add water without screwing the ph?

My tap water is 8.0+ right from tap and about 7.6-7.8 after a day of sitting?

my tank is at 6.0-6.5 (still cycling lol..)

if i change water and my my ph swings way up.. i will lose life..

any suggestions..

Also my tank is 75gal.. so big water changes i would need big barrels lol..

Driftwood... i have about 12 lbs of it (malaysian)

and i haven't added my co2 yet.. -_-

also i haven't done my first water change yet... not done cycling...

sure it does.. since The driftwood eats away at the KH which inturn plays with ph..

So by weekly water changes are required with driftwood to keep ph up.. also you can add a bit of crush coral to filter to negate the effects of driftwood..
;)

Does not changing your water lower the PH of the water?
This matters on where the tank PH is and the taps. But something has to change the PH in the tank or in the tap for them to be much different.
