Water Changes

If I did a water change 1 time a day on a new tank of 25% for a week or two, would that be too much? I have 2 established tanks a 10 and a 20 and just got another 10 gallon to seperate the cichlids.

Did the tank have any fish in at the time?

there are fish in the tank right now yes. Just started tank 2 days ago

well, maybe it was 4 days ago LOL, it was the only thing I could think of to keep the cichlids appart without the other cichlid eating all my shrimp n stuff

Nobody seems to be answering your question, so I will. That is what they recommend (If I remember correctly, might be only 10%) to do when starting a new tank. Just look at the top of beginners forum for cycling with fish.

Water Changes, can there be too often?

No. But you can change too little.
