How often should I do 50% water changes? I'm afraid I neglected my tank a little so I did a 50% water change to compensate, is it safe to do one in a couple of days?

25% a week should suffice unless you have too many fish or feed them too much.

Never go overboard when cleaning because it stresses out the fish and tehy ahve to get used to the newer water conditions.

Ah sorry, I thought it was just a one off because of the neglect.

For weekly changes I agree with TF. I change 20% weekly.

Depending on your stocking levels, of course. ;)

Incidently sailfin, your stocking levels are quite high. Is this sailfin mollies you are talking about? They get to 4-6"

:flex: ≡ 50% is probably too much at once. It might be OK on a
badly neglected tank, but not doing it again a couple days later.
As a general rule change 15-25% every week, stay in school,
and don't do drugs... :flex:
