Hi guys,

Im thinking of upgrading to a Red Sea 250l aquarium... How often would you think water changes need to be performed on a tank of this size? I currently have a 125l tank and do a 5-10% water change each week. I heard with bigger tanks weekly changes arent required?

Water changes are always needed in my opinion, only massive tanks with calcium and nitrate reactors that dose all the elements under the sun can do without them.

10% is a good figure to stick to :) TBH it's the cheapest way to keep your water good in small ranks (small being anything under 5 foot lol)

Oooh someone is feeling rich I would say between 25 - 50L a week.

I would look at other tanks to be honest will get a nicer tank for your money but just my opinion :)

Thanks for the info, one of the reasons I liked this one is its white

Yip seen some very nice custom made tanks with white Gloss stands 100 Gallon with sump around 750 :)

Thought i would be nosey and check out that tank! My jaw dropped. When i paid 50 for my 6fter my bf would kill me if i wanted that haha!
