Ok this is my 3rd day of treating my 55 gallon tank for ick. I have one fish not doing well and gasping, but the rest of my fish are doing better it seems.

My question is, do i need to do a water change at anytime during the treatment? it doesn't say on the medicine bottle(Aquari-sol) but have seen some posts on here about doing water changes. And if i do, should i just change the water and not use the gravel cleaner in the gravel so i don't stir more ick up?
I have my tank temp around 82-83 today. yesterday it was 84-85 and it seemed to be affecting my fish a bit with it being so warm. So i turned it down a notch, and they are doing better.

Usually when treating for any illness if a water change is required do it before you treat again. If it's the third day and you have to treat every day, do a water change then add your next dose of medication *unless the med. pack. says otherwise. Good luck with treating your fishes :)

...and it wouldn't matter if you use your gravel cleaner or not, if you need to do a water change the most important thing is to get rid of the decaying debris in the gravel that is polluting your tank. Ick has a 7 day cycle, and lives in either the fish or the actual water, not in the tank debris! Clean away!
