I have a 120 litre tank running with 2 clowns in ATM, and I am running the v2 400 skimmer. How often and how much water should I change? Is there a rule? With my freshwater tanks I just do a bucket a week.

25% is a great amount, in a tank your size to do each week and will keep everything tickety boo :good:

LOL "tickety boo" reminds me of suze from gimme gimme gimme... good times

but yeah 25% a week is good, thanks for the help

as above :good: i think i have read somewere that you need to do bigger water changes on fo tanks that you do with reefs? im not sure though

I think thats because in fish only you tend to have higher stocking because all the attention is on the stock

Salt is gonna clost a bomb! lol

My tank is just about the same size as yours. I usually do a water change once a month, but my stocking is very small. I also test my water fairly often to make sure the corals are getting everything they need. This schedule has worked out best for me.

I would stick with what seffie said for now. As your tank matures you may decide something else is better for your tank.
