Okay, so I have white sand in my tank. and I have a BN, a rubbernose, and a pictus cat all in the same tank.

So, I'm thinking since the pictus should really be schooling, I'm gonna take him out and bring him back to the LFS.

Leaving the Rubbernose, and Bristlenose. My tank has Oscar and Jack Dempsey in it. I know the Rubbernose is considered 'armored' right? But does it eat algae good like a BN? I was thinking I'm going to leave the rubbernose in the 55 gal with the Oscar and JD.

Now, I have a 20 gal community for the gf, and she has a Chinese Algae Eater in it. I was going to take the CAE back tot the LFS and move the Bristlenose to the 20 gal setup. :good:

Thoughts? Concerns?

You may of already said this on the cichlid section, but how long till you upgrade the tank? The BN should be fine in the 20g. Well done for taking the others back. As adults the rubbernose could be under threat from the oscar due to the plecs small size.

gonna be about 6 months till I get a bigger tank. I may be able to get a baby royal plec. Would that be better in the long run? I'm more concerned w/ actual algae eating than looks, and of course compatibility is needed too.
