hey all,

having a dispute with the GF about if its gonna be sensible or not to have the washer and dryer ion the fish room.

Could anyone see why it could/would be a bad idea?

cheers,

all i can think of is the vibrations through the floor

Thats something I didnt think about :S

will have to get it them on some dampners, just drawing up some plans at the moment, think I am going divide the garage into two one part for utilities and another for the tanks.

Another thing to consider is the odors in a laundry room. Each odor that you detect from bleach, detergent perfumes, dryer sheets, etc. is another airborne chemical in the room that could harm the fish. One of the deadliest among them is the chlorine that is present in most bleaches. Chlorine can be deadly to fish in very small (parts per million) traces but runs in whole percentages in laundry bleach.

Thanks, that was something I had argued, but you put it in the nice details that I couldnt.

I think seperating the two into two rooms is the better idea.
