I have 5 bags of flourite to wash and i took a whole bag and IN PORTIONS took bits out and put into abucket and washed in the bathtub (easy draining) and when i let it "sit" it is clear, but when i move it around it gets brown water again, will it ever get CLEAR or am i dont wahing that portion?

heya ANIM4L.
Your never done rinsing it, so just give it a "decent" rinse.

When you put in your tank it will cloud up ALOT, but thats ok.
If you have extra filters throw 'em in with a sponge or some filter floss.
After youve added all the flourite first that is.
The filters will take some of the cloudiness...cloudyness...however its spelled...away, alot will settle to the bottom as well.
You could also add a particulate additive to help the "cloudiness" (checked on google) clump together and make things easier on your filet(s).
By morning it'll be all clear again.

When you disturd the flourite in the futur you may get a bit of cloudiness, but nothing compared to when you first added it.
And, if you get any "hyper" bottom dwellers you may see a bit of "debris" from the flourite being stirred up.

ok thanks, i spent about 20 minutes on a 15 pound bag, then i let the bathub fill the bucket and over flow, and eventually it as clear, theni would put my hand in it and stir it around to make it cloudy again, then wait for it to clear (still overfloing from tub to wash out debris) and then i drained it. I think itll be ok. Im excited for redoing my tank :)
