As you can see, it looks a lot like an Eheim! Model is the UJ3338

Any media will do - it has the same filter sections, so you could add the ceramic tubes and a coarse sponge (should be the same size as the larger Eheim 2028), some loose media in the middle and the top, with filter floss to top it all.

As promised, some pics.
It does actually come with a few ceramic rings in the base tray, but the middle tray is full of Eheim media (the brown balls), so you'll only need the coarse sponge, some ceramic rings and something for the top tray.
As stated, you'll need to spend a few quid on a new ceramic shaft and/or rubber end caps, but apart from that, it's a powerful filter that would suit any deent sized tank.
