Wanted: banded pygmy sunfish

I want 2 male and 2 female banded pygmy sunfish preferably wild caught and are at least 1 inch long
I will pay $45 for all 4 of the fish and I will also pay for the shipping fees. And if anyone has more than 4 pairs of them that are breeding then I will get captive bred ones.

The only place I see them sold regularly is ebay. You may want to wait until all this "Cold Front" business is done and over with, depending on where you are

Elassoma zonatum doesn't seem to be available at the usual dealers in American fish. When they are, they tend to be expensive. If I recall, the last time I saw them they were 20 US each. That's without shipping. You'd need another 50 to 100 for that, and to drive over the border to pick them up. Direct to Canada, airport to airport, would be very pricey.

Ask me how I know. I tried. It got too expensive to consider.

Unless they ship to a Canadian airport where you pick them up, when it's warm, no one you can count on does. Fish snagged in customs die, and American native fish get attention because they are rarely sold. It's legal and the fish is of least concern on the IUCN list, but waiting while the border figures that out can be fatal. It can delay your shipment by a few days.
