I want to start keeping/breeding plecos.
I have just purchased a new 75gal tank for this purpose. I wanted to start out with a breeding group of albino BN that are about 6cm each and I can sex them and I have a definite...

1 Male
2 Females

I want to breed them and trade them at my LFS for more equipment and more plecos.
My user name is L46 because they are my favorite cat-fish in the world, and id love to get myself a nice big group of them one day.
Anyway before I run off and spend a few grand on catfish, I was wondering how do I raise albino BN? what age will I start seeing eggs? Any help would be great :D

Thanks

Hiya - I've got no advice with regards breeding as I've not tried it (yet, although I might in the future when I have more time) but just wanted to say I think you've made a great choice to begin with - BNs are lovely, and apparently very easy to breed - so no doubt you'll have lots of success :) Good luck!

Yeh, i heard that Bristenoses are easy to breed, providing that they are happy

b/ns will start breeding between 4-6months old
ive just had 2 spawns off mine the females are between 60-75mms and the male is 60mms
give them a couple of caves and plenty of w/cs and they should start breeding once they start its hard to get them to stop
as for raising the fry plenty of veg food and a good flake food
