I currently have 2 bettas. One in a 2.5g tank and one in a 1/2g fish bowl. So do you all think I should get another one?

MBS means mulitible betta syndrom right? So I want to do you all think I should?

I've you've got the space, get another betta. If you don't, sell your bed and get another betta.

I would upgrade your betta thats in the 1/2 gallon first, as that is too small for him (they need atleast 1 gallon).

Ok I have SEVERE MBS... I started with my first one about 2 months ago and up until 2 weeks ago I just had the one, then I bought another and 2 more and more.... Now I have 10! I had to give 3 away cause I had too many and I still have more water than I'm allowed to have in my dorm room!

Go for it--what the heck IT'S JUST ONE MORE FISH, I agree with getting a bigger tank than half gallon, if you can't afford the expensive tanks check out yard sales, grocery stores, SAMS WHOLESALE, ETC. imprevise---it works, spent 9.00 on 2 two gallon containers bought at SAMS, tomorrow is SATURDAY---YARD SALES and GARAGE SALES I have found 2-3 one gallon fish bowls a few weeks ago spent something like a dollar for both----LOVE sales, hate to spend money!

I agree, betta are inexpensive. Once you have the supplies for one you can easily add to your collection. Why not? I too agree that the 1/2 gallon should be upgraded.

Don't spend any money on another fish, because she need the money to upgrade that 1/2 gallon bowl. I think 1 gallon is too small, and a half gallon is just cruel. Your money is better spent right now. When you get a bigger tank, and then have money for a third tank, then go get yourself one.

Keddypie I'm a guy not a girl. :p And I would upgrade but don't have room for anything bigger than 1/2g and this betta seems to love it because he swims around more, he stopped biting his fins, he has started building a bubble nest, and he flares at his reflection.

i agree with this as well. don't get more fish when you can't provide for the ones you have. now that i know you are keeping them in 1/2 gallons, even if i had a slightly deformed fish like you asked about, i still would not give him to you. i'm picky about where the fish i sell/give away go...i'm not sending them away to live in a too-small home.

I was only joking guys, chill out. This betta thats in the 1/2g is only thier until his fins heal then he will go to my 1g. :S And supersixone you don't have to discriminte me just because I'm not like you all that has these 20g tanks for a single betta. I'm not really living the life of luxuiry.

I apologise for the gender confusion.

Also, if you don't have room for one 1 gallon tank, then you don't have room for 2 1/2 gallons... Or for two 2 gallons, which is what you minimally should have
