Want Help Identifying Rather Large Rescued Pleco

i rescued this pleco the other day from a rather pathetic 18 inch tank at a so called friends house, he bought it thinking it looked good and the place he got it from said his tank was adequate for it (god i hate these lfs that have no idea what they have or what these beautiful fish need)
he/she is approx 8.5 inches long and about 1.5 inches wide, light brown with white underside. any help much appreciated

to be exact, i would need a photo of the belly. it would also help if you could count the spines in the dorsal fin. but, its a "common" type peco. sometimes sold as a "golden pleco". it, should grow to over 14 inches.
 
Pterygoplichthys pardalis, the 'chocolate' colour form, it has the potential to double its current size.
