I love the look of these fish, but had bad experiences with similarly shaped tetras. Peaceful rosies? Yeah, right...my other fish are still recovering from the nipped tails. Serpae?... beautiful, but forget it. Can anyone verify these fish are peaceful ?
Thanks, everyone

I kept 5 with a betta in ten gallon a few years back, so the group I had was peaceful(with plently of plant cover anyway) But I'd wait on a few more people's opinions.

I had 2M and 3F, you don't want all males...but you have more then one male and some females the males will display to each other, and they are stunning when they display.

Thanks, Tex..... I'll wait on some other opinions first. I hate to buy fish then have to send them to solitary confinement ( if found gill-ty)

My black phantoms are very peaceful and have never shown any aggression (bar the males sometimes having a little stand off between themselves, and even then that only involves a bit of displaying and showing off). What will the other tankmates be? If you're concerned about aggression I'd just avoid anything with flowing/trailing fins and anything that looks a bit like a male black phantom. :p

Yes... I never do the 'long fin/long tail thing' . I have corys, white clouds, glowlights, zebra danios, 1 male dwarf gourami, diamond tetras and rasboras
