Vitamin C Dosing

A friend of mine was telling me how he has recently started dosing a vitamin C powder twice daily in two of his tanks. He said he did a lot of research on it, and it is suppose to benefit corals with color enhancement (especially zoos) as well as helping to keep algae away. He's 2 weeks in so far and he says the only noticeable effects so far is his macro melting, but that it can take up to a month so he's still going along with it.

Intrigued, I went searching on my own but didn't come up with much. I have to ask him for his articles/sources.

Anyone have any experience/information on this?

Nope. Corals don't get dosed in the wild. SH
