Hi,
I bought a Vita Tech 440 external filter that has never been used and is still boxed.
I bought the unit from my brother for £20, who also keeps tropical fish. He bought
it for use on one of his own tanks, but then has the chance of purchasing a much
bigger external filter that suited his tank better. When i bought it off him, it came
with several packs of filter white filter pads and several packs of charcoal pads.
I was going to set it up the other day, just before Christmas and discovered that
it should also have some course filter pads that are coloured blue, but i did not
get any with it. I visited all my local shops to see if i could find some, but none of
them had any and do not stock them. The same goes for the substrat and ceramic
medium that can also be used with this unit.
I looked on the internet and found a site that sells the different kinds of round pads
but they were by a company called Ehiem and i cannot figure out what the equivalent
unit number would be. Therefore i am hoping that some one on this forum may be
able to give me the advice that i am in need of.
Also if anyone could give me the name of a site where i can get the substrat and
ceramic mediums (if i need them), i would be grateful for the help.
My tank is just an ordinary Tropical tank with neons, pleque's angels etc.
I live in the U.K. so a u.k. site would be better for me to purchase from..
