Hi there

just wondered if anyone had any thought regarding adding extra lighting to vision.

I've asked round and have been advised to buy a starter kit for the t5

http://www.ukpetsupplies.com/Details.aspx?...mp;ParentId=181

from what i can gather there are three wattages 24,39 and 54 i think anyhow. The larger the wattage the longer the tube (also from what I can gather in info)

have measured the front of the tank where it bows, and have worked out that I could fit in a standard 22" tube made for the 24watt starter and the same again for the back it's not perfect and feel this is the only option but would be pleased to hear from others on what they think or any ideas.

This DIY project means I would have

to juwel t8 at 25watts =50watts

plus

two t5 at 24 = 48

total 98watts which is around 2.4watts per gallons

is this enough for plant growing etc

cheers

That exactly what i have done in my planted vision 180. I used arcadia electronic ballast with arcadia plant pro tubes. You can get a few sets of reflector clips and join then together and that way you can clip the extra tubes onto the juwel T5s. will try and get you a pic up. If you look at Jimboos visio journal then you will see cos he has done the same!

Good luck :good:

I did that in my Vision 180.
Plus i added a pro flora co2 system and now the plants grow alot.
