I'd never heard of that one before now.
a quick search on planetcatfish revealed they are
either Corydoras caudimaculatus or
Corydoras similis, either way stunning looking cory.
note: before C.similis was known as that, it was know as corydoras sp violet.

I know that you didn't ask for an ID but I thought you may like to know.

Hi,

I'd say similis too they look just like mine. I was sold as similis violet. When ever i have bought corys in the past with no barbels they have always died. Hopefully yours will be fine as they look really healthy.

Thanks Wolf, saves me doing a search .
They were £6.99 each and the reason I liked them was because of their different mouths. I'm hoping that they are meant to be like that . Worried now.

Well all three of them are doing fine and I think their barbels are growing back. I'll need to ask the shop about them becuase It's not as if they were unhealthy. I was really disappointed in myself because I thought they were supposed to be like that. I learned that cories without barbels are probably unhealthy. But I think these guys were an exception. I love them though, different personality compared to my other cories. And they can eat no problem incase your wondering.
