Will I be able to keep these guys in the same tank like they are now for ever or should they be seperated? Also should I take the tank brackish or not? I keep reading violets need it but not enough info on the marbleds (O. Marmota).

Both will do best in brackish water, and both should do fine together. However, be sure to make sure that the violet gobies are getting enough food. ;)

Thanks Ghost Guy.

The reason they ended up with the marbleds was because they weren't getting enough food in the other tank (gouramis, platies, guppies ect..). The marbleds don't seem interested in the blood worms I give the violets so for the time being anyhow it's working out well. Now they might eventually get interested in those blood worms. If that happens I'll seperate them.

I'm considering rescuing the remaining pair of marbleds from the petshop because they expect them to eat soggy flake (adapt or starve)..Since I asked them to order them to begin with I feel partly responsible...I didn't realise they were doing that until I was in there yesturday for blackworms. I said they were for the gobies and they gave me a weird look and I finally asked what they fed them then...
